Abstract

The aim of this article is to present and briefly discuss a synthesis of English-language academic production on the theme of “universities, schools, and communities in teacher education.” The synthesis resulted from a scoping review conducted by the author after defining keywords, consulting various databases and focusing on the period between 2010 and 2022. In total, 64 articles were selected and read in full for the writing of this paper. The articles attest to the relevance of the topic but also highlight the scarcity of academic work on it. Definitions of key concepts and reports of experiences of partnerships between universities, schools, and communities in English-speaking countries are also shared here. Finally, a summary of the main guidelines and suggestions presented by Anglophone researchers on the subject is provided.
