O Aleitamento Materno e o Desenvolvimento da Asma Infantil

Resumo

O objetivo do estudo foi levantar na literatura a relação entre o aleitamento materno e a possível proteção contra a incidência da asma infantil. As bases de dados Lilacs, SciELO e Medline foram pesquisadas com os descritores aleitamento materno e asma, por meio dos operadores booleanos, limitados pelos anos de 2007 a 2013. Os 16 artigos apontam que a amamentação se apresenta como um efeito protetor sobre a asma entre as crianças que foram expostas a intervalo maior de amamentação e exclusivamente.
