Critical conditions for the formation of patterns on biological populations

The study of the formation of structures on spatial distributions of biological populations here presented elucidates patterns observed on homogeneous medium, due to intraspecific competition and dispersion. The modelling was done through nonlinear partial differential equations and was studied by linear approximations and computational methods. With the model proposed and the results obtained, it is possible to study more realistic and complex biological populations.
