Microhardness test study for microstructural assessment of joints welded by different processes of stainless steel superduplex uns S32750

The presence of super duplex stainless steels in the current petrochemical industry is evident, whether in pipelines or even for flow regulating valves, with good mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion. Its manufacture mainly includes welding processes, which must have strict parameters in order to maintain the acceptable phase balance. The low control of these parameters leads to the formation of undesirable secondary phases, and microhardness plays an important role in finding these changes. This article seeks to analyze the microhardness testing studies carried out on super duplex stainless steel.
