Resumo

A insuficiência cardíaca (IC) é um problema de saúde pública de dimensão global. Apesar dos avanços no campo da ciência, sua fisiopatologia ainda é pouco conhecida e seu tratamento, complexo. Não obstante, a elevada variedade de fenótipos torna o diagnóstico e o tratamento desafiadores. Diante disso, a presente revisão sistemática busca discorrer sobre a etiologia, a fisiopatologia, o quadro clínico e as abordagens diagnóstica e terapêutica da IC.
