Abstract

: This work studies the feasibility of material production through additive manufacturing, using different infill levels within a single object. This article focuses on varying printing parameters, an area with vast optimization potential in 3D printing, to create printed objects with different infill percentages and compare them in terms of printing time and material consumption to their homogeneous counterparts. The results demonstrated that applying the infill variation strategy reduces printing times by up to 180 seconds and material consumption by up to 1.7 grams, positive outcomes that may serve as a foundation for future developments in this field.
