This scientific initiation paper proposes the performance evaluation of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste as a partial aggregate replacement of crushed stone in the green concrete production, to minimize the side effects of the construction industry. The mass substitution of the natural aggregate by PET crushed in the percentages of 10% and 15% by mass, achieved the density reduction and the criteria of minimum load bearing strength for structural purposes.
