Resumo

A literatura refere que fotografar ao ar livre motiva os alunos para a aprendizagem/compreensão matemática. No entanto, não temos ainda conhecimento suficiente sobre como os futuros professores criam tarefas matemáticas em contextos da vida real. Neste artigo descreve-se um estudo onde futuros professores tiram fotos de elementos no ambiente fora da sala de aula que lhes permitam desenhar tarefas matemáticas. Os resultados sugerem que nas fotos foram privilegiados objetos relacionados com edifícios e mobilizados conteúdos de Geometria e Medida. Os participantes referiram que a experiência foi positiva, proporcionando-lhes um “olhar matemático” sobre os objetos, mais consciente, apesar de expressarem que desenhar tarefas de nível cognitivo elevado é difícil.

Isabel Vale, Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo - IPVC

Doutora em Didática da Matemática e professora coordenadora na Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo (ESE-IPVC). Tem lecionado em cursos de pós-graduação, formação inicial e contínua; tem participado em projetos de investigação e de intervenção na área da educação matemática; é autora e coautora de relatórios, artigos e livros. Os meus interesses principais de investigação centram-se ao nível da didática da matemática e na formação de professores para os ní­veis elementares, em particular, na resoluções de problemas, padrões, criatividade, visualização, conexões, dentro e fora da sala de aula. Atualmente está interessada no desenho de tarefas e de estratégias de ensino e aprendizagem ativas que possam contribuir para uma relação mais positiva com a matemática.
